Heidi Christensen MD, CAQSM, FACEP

Dr. Heidi Christensen is board certified in Sports Medicine and Emergency Medicine. She is experienced in caring for a wide variety of non-operative musculoskeletal injuries, as well as acute medical conditions. She is a strong believer in the benefits of preventive medicine and helping her patients to achieve optimal wellness. She is also skillfully trained in the field of Medical Aesthetics.
 
Dr. Christensen’s goal is to keep her patients active and healthy. She treats a wide variety of activity-related injuries and chronic musculoskeletal ailments, such as shoulder pain, knee pain, osteoarthritis, and concussion. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and strongly believes in partnering with them to create personalized treatment plans. Dr. Christensen is especially skilled in using ultrasound technology, including ultrasound-guided procedures. She offers experience with a wide variety of injection procedures, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
 
Dr. Christensen is a team physician for Rock Canyon High School. As an athlete herself, she has a passion for sports, as well as giving back to her local community. In the Fall, you can oftentimes find her on the sidelines of varsity football games.
 
In addition to Sports Medicine, Dr. Christensen is also passionate about the field of Medical Aesthetics. She strongly believes in enhancing the unique, natural beauty of each individual and partnering with her patients to create comprehensive, customized treatment plans to achieve their personal aesthetic goals. Her focus is on minimally invasive procedures to promote skin rejuvenation and restoration of volume loss due to factors such as sun exposure, weight loss, and the natural aging process…as well as overall graceful aging. She loves witnessing not only the physical transformations, but also the major boosts in confidence that aesthetic medicine can achieve for her clientele.
 
In her free time, Dr. Christensen enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband, Dr. Mark Christensen, their young son and daughter, and their dog. She is a big sports fan and loves to attend as many local sporting events as she can every year.
