What is Telemedicine?

Telemedicine is a way to virtually connect a patient to their healthcare provider. The provider can remotely diagnose and treat patients by means of telecommunications technology.

Do I need special equipment?

Any smartphone or tablet with text, video, and audio capabilities can be used.

How do I get connected?

Contact our office at 303-814-0505 to initiate the registration. Our staff will send you a text message with a link to download the app and register for a free account. Then you can start exchanging private, secure messages via the app to schedule and conduct the electronic visit.

Is it HIPAA compliant?

Yes! Using our Spruce Health app, you will register for a unique user ID and password which acts as a portal between the patient and Castle Pines Family Practice & Urgent Care.

What is the cost?

It is free to download the app. The visit itself will be billed to your insurance at our Caslte Pines Family Practice & Urgent Care rate as it would if you were being seen in the clinic.

What types of Primary Care visits can be conducted with Telemedicine?

  • Ear, nose and throat ailments

  • Conditions affecting the skin
Hi-definition video capabilities make it possible to diagnose and treat certain skin conditions like, insect bites, rashes and skin infections effectively with telemedicine.
  • Other urgent, but non-emergency complaints
The range of cases that can be addressed with telemedicine is large and includes other complaints such as, conjunctivitis, upset stomach, diarrhea, urinary tract infections, and urgent medication refills.

Can I call in for my elderly mother or small child?
